Paul Vallone Holds Public Forum At Bowne Park To Discuss Bocce Court Plaza Upgrades
Jun 5, 2019

New York City Council Member Paul Vallone representing District 19 in northeast Queens held an open public forum today at Bowne Park to share ideas for the Bowne Park Bocce Court Plaza Area.  In attendance were representatives from the NYC Parks Department, Community Board 7, the Bowne Park Civic Association and the Broadway Flushing Homeowners Association.

The scope meeting detailed the planned expenditure of an allocated $1.1 Million, from a Speakers fund, for improvements to the Bocce Plaza area at the Eastern perimeter section of the Park.  The continued improvements follow the construction of the Bocce court itself in 2012 at a cost of $500,000, and are part of an upgrade and beautification effort.
