Grand Opening Of Taiyaki NYCs First Ever Pop-Up Store In Flushing NY

The Instagram famous ice cream of Taiyaki NYC made its grand opening debut at the Queens Crossing Mall food court today.  The popular ice cream enterprise has been an instagram and foodie sensation over the last several years with its distinct waffle cone shaped like a fish, which in Japanese is called 'taiyaki'.  The Flushing location will be the 6th location in NYC for Taiyaki.

The pop-up store will be open until October 21 and will offer matcha, vanilla and chocolate ice cream in red-bean taiyaki cones, as well as taro slushies and matcha frappes . During the weekend of May 24th  to May 26th, in celebration of the stores  Grand Opening, orders over $15 will receive a complimentary Unicorn Float balloon (drink not included and while supplies last)!

Inaugurating the Grand Opening today, along with the store owners were Councilman Peter Koo, John Choe the executive director of the Greater Flushing Chamber of Commerce, and Flushing Chamber Board members Bianca Ng and Jimmy Lee.  John Choe and Peter Koo both wished the pop-up "much success and best wishes", as customers lined up to have an opportunity to purchase ice cream in a variety of inventive flavors, and to receive a limited edition enamel pin awarded to the first 100 customers.
